Sculpture of a female nude torso in aluminium with wings made from Red Bull cans. The first piece and inspiration for my ‘Angels’ series of winged torsos. Created originally for the Red Bull Art of Can competition, hence the blue and turquoise wings made from the cans, literally depicting their slogan, “Red Bull gives you wings”.
When DJ Norman Cook, aka Fat Boy Slim, visited my studio he loved and them and set up a photo shoot to get this pose (with me literally behind him holding up the sculpture!). As a result this piece immediately sold to a collector in the USA but similar pieces are available to commission.
