In 2000 I was asked to appear in Fantasy Rooms, a home makeover television programme hosted by Laurence llewelyn-Bowen. They commissioned me to design and build a Dali style clock for the surrealist room they were creating. The reference was Dali’s famous melting watches from his painting “The Persistence of Memory”. For the programme I made a resin frame, sprayed gold, with a battery-powered movement and a custom designed face. I later created one for myself in polished aluminium.
