From a whimsical series of fossils in the Objets d’Aft collection, sculpted sexual organs are seamlessly added in a style matching the original fossil. One imagines the whole things uncoiling into quite the specimen.
These fossils were expensive items before being ‘augmented’ by the artist. Are they now more valuable or less valuable by his intervention? What does that say about the value we attach to art, artefacts and desirable objects?
