Arma-dildo

The second of the Sexidermy series, combining classic taxidermy with erotic sculpture. The animal’s tail is replaced with a phallus. Only the first couple of segments are real armadillo tail. The rest is artificial ie. sculpted and painted to look like part of the animal. The subtlety of this transformation and the traditional glass case presentation (not shown) is in contrast to the kitsch pillow the Arma-dildo rests on. Combining whimsy and controversy is typical of this recent work, which all comes under the umbrella of Neo Surrealism.
